“I am not what happened to me. I am what I choose to become.” -Carl Jung
Change can feel impossible at times. We get set in our ways. We can become hopeless. We can feel lost or unfulfilled. We become more of a “human doing” rather than a “human being.” We DESERVE more.
Cassandra is warm, creative, and passionate about helping others find that hope again and ultimately achieve a higher quality of life. She focuses on meeting clients where they are in the process of change and helping them identify goals for therapy. Cassandra welcomes clients to a safe, judgement free space to explore their feelings. She strives to build a strong therapeutic relationship that allows clients to be heard while providing unconditional support.
Cassandra assists clients in developing ways to manage difficult emotions, process adjustments and gain self-awareness. She is a person-centered and strengths-based counselor that utilizes techniques such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and others to personalize therapy for each client’s specific needs.
Cassandra has experience working with a wide array of people dealing with depression, life transitions, anxiety, bipolar disorder, self-esteem/self-worth, abuse, trauma, and interpersonal relationships. She received her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling as well as her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at University of Texas at Tyler.
